what exactly do you want to rebuild? Rip apart the complete engine and rebuild? Or just for example the cylinder head? Parts list http://bmwfans.info/
For the cylinder head only probably a Bentley Repair/Service Manual for the E36 will do, for the rest you need a workshop manual, google for that.
And a TIS https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/
My my son has a 1994 E36 M3 with a 3.0L S50B30 Euro motor that has bottom end failure (piston through side of block). He has bought a S50B30US which is in parts.
We want to rebuild the US motor with the EU head (if possible)
Unfortunately there isn't shared compatibility to do that. The US motors are essentially modified M50/52 engines where as the Euro spec S50B30 engines are completely different blocks and heads. It will be cheaper and "better" in the long run to just put an S54 in the car if you can't get your hands on an S50B30. Even a fully built US S50 will never stand up to the stock motor the car came with.

Obviously we need some guidance.
Thanks
That isn't going to work. Buy the correct Euro bottom end parts and try again. Ditch the US engine.
